“Adrianna Fox, of Waterville, makes very detailed, gorgeous papercut art. Several months ago, she stopped by with a rhododendron design she had created and asked if I might be interested in reproducing it in silver,” recalls Silvio.
“From her papercut, I traced a prototype on a sterling silver plate. Then, I did the repercé work. That is the process of cutting out the metal based on the original design. Finally, I had this molded and this mold allowed me to make many more pieces based on Adrianna’s original papercut. These will make great earrings and pendants.”
Adrianna stopped by today and both she and Silvio were thrilled with the results. “I like the idea of working with another local artist and she has new ideas I’m looking forward to discuss.”
Adrianna’s papercut art business is known as Woodfox Design.
