Silvio’s Workbench – Crystal’s Ring is Ready & Something About Heaven

Thursday, 2 pm.

“A man walked into the shop…” begins Silvio. Is that a joke? I asked. “No. Listen. This man walked into the shop the other day and asked, Do you know where Heaven is? I thought for a moment and decided he probably meant Eden. So I began giving him directions for Eden, but he stopped me and said, Not Eden. Heaven. Do you know Heaven?”

Clearly, the artist was absorbed in the creative process and the visitor’s surprising question immediately assessed by the creative mind and not taken literally… though in the end the misunderstanding points to one truth: we all have a place, a cherished friend or a state of mind we call “Heaven” or “Eden.”

Meanwhile,at the workbench… a young couple’s heaven is at hand.

Silvio puts the finishing touches to Crystal’s wedding band. She is picking it up today. This is a meaningful step in the preparations for the soon approaching wedding.

Each step seals the faith of soul mates and companion even before vows are pronounced. each step is a rite of passage into the realm of the shared life; shared at once by choice and by destiny.
