Wednesday, 4 pm. Business resumes its usual course at Ornament Studio. Several projects occupy the workbench; repairs as well as parts and materials for brand new creations.
“Look at these,” begins Silvio. “They are tiny snake vertebrae to make a new bracelet or maybe I have enough to make a necklace this time. This one will be for sale.”
Speaking of vertebrae, he then produces two small silver pelvic bones. “These will make pretty cool earrings,” he says, as he holds them up against his ear lobes with a huge smile on his face. Always imagining something new!
Speaking of something new, cuff links found new expression on Silvio’s workbench recently. “These are from the 1940’s to 1950’s. They are 14 karat gold. They belong to a local customer who wanted me to make something new out of them.”
Go to Snap Shot No. 11 to see the vertebrae bracelet fresh off the bench.
