Snap Shot No. 13

Silvio now has an entire library of various outdoor and indoor photographs on his new iPhone. The results are impressive. If you are in the business of creating artwork and need to share it with pictures, this amazing device is the way to go.

Here is Silvio’s experiment with the fish eye.

Ornament Studio, fish eye style

Back at the workbench, he just finished a ring repair for Taryn, a young Jeffersonville resident who works at the Hearth and Candle, at Smugglers Notch.

“This beautiful square diamond, on a platinum ring, was set very high,” explains Silvio, “And it did not have enough prong on the top of the stone to hold it in properly, so it kept getting loose. Even after tightening the prongs, eventually the diamond nearly fell off, so I suggested building the prongs up.”

To accomplish this, Silvio used white gold rather than platinum. Check in tomorrow for a peek over Silvio’s shoulder at the workbench, to look at the process he used to fix this elegant ring. Taryn was absolutely thrilled.

Silvio did a truly amazing job with my ring. I was super nervous about having any work done but the piece looks better than new. I’ve known Silvio for several years, he is honest and fair and I absolutely recommend him for your jewelry needs!
